About this print: this print is inspired by the tea houses of the Geisha district in Kanazawa, in particular Lady Baba's tea house which Louise was lucky enough to visit. The understated effect of the shimmering yet muted gold, silver and platinum hues against a rich black background speaks to the elegance, beauty and timelessness of traditional Japanese kimono dress. The fans in the design actually bear the image of the dragon, a lucky Eastern emblem, which symbolises good fortune.
